My name is Leah Dankertson (Dank·ert·son) and I am a creative freelancer based out of Seattle. I have over 10 years of experience in art, design, and photography.

I’ve had the privilege to work with such fine folks as Amazon.com, Fonté Coffee Roasters, The Northwest Symphony Orchestra, and University Book Store and have had my work featured in such fine publications as  Seattle Magazine and Wine Spectator.  I love working with people and brands that are passionate about the story they have to tell, who love the collaboration process as much as I do, and are eager to take bold and creative chances.

Outside of the “office” you’ll find me drinking way too many americanos, cooking dinners for friends, singing at the top of my lungs while sitting in traffic, being Jimmy Fallon’s #1 fan, dreaming of the next place I want to travel, and thinking of more art I could be making.

I’ve been away for awhile, so today I’m really excited to finally be able to share a few photos of a recent project that I had a lot of fun working on. For the past several years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to partner with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra in designing their season poster and…

Up until then, meal planning was sporadic at best and meals were cobbled together by random cravings, recipes I wanted to try and a few basic stand-by’s.  Since…

Even though the temperatures are telling us it’s still summer, the leaves are beginning to change colors here in Seattle and my Facebook feed is filling up with pictures of back-packed kids posing for their first day of…(1st grade, Kindergarten, Pre-K, Pre-Pre K…).  In each little face I see courage and excitement and am reminded…

City Visit // Washington, D.C.

City Visit // Washington, D.C.

In an effort to get more experience creating and sharing travel photography and content, I am starting a new series today called, “City Visit”.  In honor of Independence Day this last weekend and my recent trip to D.C., I thought it only fitting that the first city post be from the capital of U.S. capitols. Cheers to travel…

Be Here Now

Be Here Now

So I just started “DIY Coaching for Creatives” by the lovely gals over at Braid Creative and one of the things we get each week is a theme.  I thought it could be fun to share this weeks theme – Be Here Now – in illustration form, along with some of the notes I jotted…
